About Scoop Ministries Inc.
God's vision for Scoop Ministries began in 2005 as a small group of believers shared stories with each other, on a Sunday afternoon. For two years, one church hosted a function amongst it's members called "Get the Scoop". It is understood that women LOVE to talk and LOVE to eat ice cream. It is also understood as told in Matthew 28:19 that we are to GO and make disciples of all... so in 2008, the first "Share the Scoop" Conference, fanned out into our community to encourage and reach all women, so that the flavors of Jesus Christ could be shared.
Christian churches of Tracy and its surrounding communities, partner with SMI by contributing their financial gifts. Women from all Christian denominations work together by sharing their spiritual gifts as well as their financial gifts, so that the Mission and objectives of SMI are carried out. At the annual "Share the Scoop" Conference, ordinary women of the community share their "extra"ordinary stories of how God is actively at work in their lives, delivering inspiring messages of hope, faith and Love. It is the goal of SMI to develop programs that promote spiritual growth and financial support for women in our community. SMI is birthing its first grant program which will support women who may be in a short-term crisis. It is called the "Flavors of Hope" program.
Scoop Ministries Inc. is an all volunteer, non-profit organization and it became incorporated in November of 2011.
